The majority of students in Dukes County school districts were white in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Of the 2,283 students attending classes within Dukes County school districts, 60.8% were white. Hispanic students made up the second largest ethnic group among Dukes County's school districts, making up 27.2% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Dukes County school districts, representing 62.4% of the student body.

Tisbury School District had the most even distribution of races among county school districts, which included 47.8% of white students, 39% of Hispanic students, 6.3% of African American students, 2.9% of Native American students, and 0.4% of Asian students.
