Martha’s Vineyard School District had the largest enrollment among Dukes County school districts, with 744 students in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Of the students enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, 50.1% were boys, 49.7% were girls, and 0.1% identified themselves as non-binary or did not specify their gender.

The most represented ethnic group among Martha’s Vineyard School District students was white, accounting for 62.4% of the student body.

Among the six school districts in Dukes County, Oak Bluffs School District ranked second in enrollment with 402 students, while Up-Island Regional School District ranked third with 390.

Martha’s Vineyard School District roughly covers schools within Dukes County with its main office in Vineyard Haven.

In the previous school year, Martha’s Vineyard School District also had the highest enrollment among Dukes County school districts.
