Martha's Vineyard Charter Public School District: 77.8% of students graduated in 2022-23 school year

Martha's Vineyard Charter Public School District had a 77.8% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 9.4% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were seven students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 13 the year before.

Martha's Vineyard Charter Public School District had the 21st lowest graduation rate in the state.

Martha's Vineyard Charter Public School District roughly covers schools within Dukes County and has a main office in West Tisbury.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
