The Town of Truro announced on Apr. 7 that it will host an information session about electronic voting for residents on May 7 at 6:00 p.m. The event will take place in person at Truro Town Hall and will also be accessible remotely via Zoom and livestreamed through TruroTV/Channel 8.

The session comes after voters at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting agreed to try electronic voting at the upcoming 2026 meeting. The purpose of the event is to introduce community members to the new system, provide demonstrations, and answer questions about how it works.

A representative from the vendor supplying and operating the electronic voting system will be present to demonstrate its use. Residents attending in person will have a chance to participate in mock votes using handheld devices provided by the vendor.

Town staff, members of the Select Board, and the Moderator are expected to attend as well. They plan to listen to feedback from participants and respond to any questions or concerns raised during the session.

More details about this initiative can be found by visiting www.truro-ma.gov/townmeeting.
