New England has seen sustained ICE enforcement actions targeting foreign fugitives with serious violent charges from their home countries. Operations in Massachusetts and Connecticut have resulted in multiple arrests of individuals wanted for homicide who entered the country illegally. These efforts prioritize the removal of offenders who pose ongoing risks to local communities despite the absence of U.S. criminal convictions in some cases, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations continues to focus nationwide on locating and arresting criminal aliens and foreign fugitives with outstanding warrants for violent crimes. In recent months, the agency has conducted targeted operations resulting in hundreds of apprehensions of individuals wanted for murder, homicide, and other serious offenses abroad. These actions support public safety by ensuring such offenders do not remain at large in American communities, according to ICE.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement serves as the primary federal agency responsible for immigration and customs enforcement inside the United States. Its Enforcement and Removal Operations division carries out targeted operations to apprehend criminal aliens and foreign fugitives wanted for violent crimes.
