Cape Students Explore and Discuss ‘Pathways to Peace’ at the Human Rights Academy Today

The Human Rights Academy, “Pathways to Peace”, a Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission event, is happening today!

Students from Cape Cod high schools who are members of social justice clubs were invited to attend this year’s Academy.

The programming is in direct response to student feedback from the Human Rights Academy’s spring session when students spoke at length about how civility and compassion are challenges in their schools.

So far students have heard from the Cape Cod League of Women’s Voters, who gave an overview of voter registration and the voting process. Cape Mediation presented tactics for conflict resolution and address the impact of listening skills on social equity and empathy.
