An Individual Placement is an opportunity for a Service Partner organization to host an AmeriCorps Cape Cod member for one, two, or three days per week. Individual Placements (IPs) should be project-based and have clear goals and objectives. IPs are long term, capacity-building projects that last the duration of the service year (October 2023 – July 2024).

Projects should align with at least one of AmeriCorps Cape Cod’s program focus areas:

  • Natural Resource Management (land and water conservation)
  • Disaster Preparedness and Response
  • Environmental Education
  • Community Outreach/Volunteer Engagement
AmeriCorps Cape Codmembers are not employees or interns of the service site, nor should they displace current employees or serve in a regular staff position. To be eligible to apply for an Individual Placement, your organization must be a federal or state agency, municipal entity, non-profit, or school within Barnstable County. All Individual Placements awards will be contingent on continued grant funding and the program’s ability to recruit AmeriCorps members.
