In recognition of the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment (1920), enfranchising women to vote in the U.S.
A specialist in 20th-Century social, political and cultural history, Dr. Yuhl regularly teaches courses on social movements, gender and sexuality, war and memory, and public history.
YuhI is the author of the prize-winning book A Golden Haze of Memory: The Making of Historic Charleston, and numerous scholarly articles and reviews. Dr. Yuhl earned a bachelor's degree in American Studies at Georgetown University, and a Ph.D. in History, at Duke University.
