MONOMOY REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL: Input sought on MRMS Principal Search via survey and committee volunteers

Survey

Monomoy Regional High School issued the following announcement.

With the retirement of Monomoy Regional Middle School Principal Mark Wilson, effective June 30, 2020, Monomoy Regional School District will be working collaboratively with families, teachers, and the community in filling this position.

MRSD is seeking input on the most important qualities the new MRMS Principal should possess -- please click here to complete the survey. This survey will close March 6, 2020. (Parents/caregivers, you are welcome to have your middle-school student complete the survey as well!)

In addition, MRSD is seeking the following volunteers to serve on the MRMS Principal Search Committee: 3-4 MRMS teachers/staff; 2 parents of current MRMS students; 1 current MRMS student (6th or 7th grade); 1 community member.

The search committee volunteers must be able to meet on the following dates/times: after school through early evening on March 17, March 23, and March 24; and all day into early evening on April 13 and 15.

If there are more interested volunteers than spots available, search committee participants will be chosen to represent diverse perspectives and then by random lottery.

To submit your name for participation in the Monomoy Regional Middle School Principal Search Committee, please email your information to Joy Jordan at jjordan@monomoy.edu no later than March 6, 2020.

Opportunities will also be provided to the entire school community to meet with the finalists and to provide input before a final decision is made.

The committee will review application materials and conduct interviews with qualified candidates, guided by information shared in the survey, and then present a final list of candidates for consideration to the Superintendent. Final hiring decisions will ultimately be made by the Superintendent.
